TCS London Marathon Fundraising Event
April 2027
Following the successful completion of the Run Bournemouth Half Marathon, we're excited to announce that Sophia, one of our directors at The Parkstone Practice, is taking on an even bigger challenge – the 2027 TCS London Marathon!
Having only started her running journey relatively recently, progressing from 5km to a half marathon was a significant personal milestone. Now, Sophia is preparing to take on the full 26.2 miles (42.2km), with the support and sponsorship of The Parkstone Practice.
This time, Sophia will be running in support of Help & Care, a local charity dedicated to empowering individuals and communities to live fulfilling lives with independence, dignity and purpose. This cause holds particular personal significance, as Sophia began her working life with Help & Care over 20 years ago. The charity's values also closely align with our own commitment to supporting people's mental health, wellbeing and quality of life.
We're incredibly proud to be sponsoring Sophia as she takes on this next challenge, combining a personal ambition with the opportunity to raise funds and awareness for a fantastic local cause. If you'd like to support Sophia and Help & Care, donations of any size would be hugely appreciated!

Half Marathon Challenge Completed!

We're delighted to share that Sophia, one of our directors at The Parkstone Practice, successfully completed the Run Bournemouth Half Marathon in support of Mental Health UK!
Having started her running journey barely able to run 5km, completing the 21.1km course was a significant personal achievement and the culmination of months of training, determination and perseverance.
More importantly, the challenge was an opportunity to raise awareness and vital funds for a cause close to our hearts. Mental health matters, and we're proud to have played a small part in supporting the important work of Mental Health UK.
A huge thank you to everyone who offered encouragement, cheered Sophia on or generously donated along the way. Your support has been greatly appreciated!
