About Ben

Ben is a registered Mental Health Occupational Therapist with training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and expertise in mindfulness and polyvagal-based approaches. He believes many of the emotional struggles people experience today aren’t signs that they need to be fixed. They are signs that the nervous system is still carrying unresolved experiences from the past. When difficult experiences are not fully processed, they can leave people living in a constant state of protection rather than connection. Over time, this can show up as anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, emotional numbness, people-pleasing, perfectionism, persistent physical symptoms, or simply the feeling that life is harder than it should be.

The goal isn’t to fight these symptoms. It’s to understand what they’re trying to communicate.

Most approaches to mental health focus on helping people cope. Coping has its place. But what if people didn’t have to spend their lives managing anxiety, controlling their thoughts, or constantly trying to regulate their emotions? What if they could be free?
