About Eglė

Eglė is a Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counsellor offering weekly in-person and online sessions. She brings warmth, curiosity and a non-judgemental approach to her work, creating a space where you can feel heard, accepted and supported as you explore your experiences. She studied at the highly specialised Metanoia Institute in London, where she is undertaking advanced training towards an MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy.

Over last two years in the NHS system Eglė has been supporting people experiencing bereavement, low self-esteem, anxiety and depression, trauma, relationship and identity difficulties, challenges of living in between cultures and life-changing medical diagnoses.

She has a particular appreciation for the many forms of loss and change we can experience, including the loss of loved ones, health, identity or a sense of vitality. She believes that having a supportive therapeutic relationship can help us approach these experiences with greater understanding and compassion, opening up new possibilities for change.

Her approach is collaborative and responsive to each person's individual needs and circumstances, informed by an understanding of the nervous system and how our experiences can shape our responses, emotions and relationships.

Eglė’s own journey has taken her from work in Politics in Lithuania to the mountains of British Columbia and, eventually, to psychotherapy, so she is no stranger to significant life transitions and experience of belonging to more than one culture.

Eglė offers a complimentary 20-minute online consultation, providing an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to counselling and explore whether we might work well together. Her work is supported by regular reflective and ethically grounded clinical supervision.

Therapies offered

Eglė offers Gestalt counselling to individual adults.

Gestalt is an existential, experiential and relational approach that explores how we experience ourselves, our emotions and relationships in the present moment. By bringing attention to thoughts, feelings, embodied sensations and familiar patterns of relating, Gestalt approach can help us develop greater self-awareness and understand how past experiences may continue to influence our present lives, providing a solid ground for new possibilities and change to happen.
