About Marissa
Marissa is a down-to-earth, qualified counsellor offering a calm, supportive space to explore whatever’s on your mind. She came into this work after navigating her own health challenges, and through that journey, she experienced firsthand the power of being truly heard without judgement. That experience shaped everything about how she now sits alongside others in therapy, with warmth, honesty, and a deep respect for whatever someone brings.

Counselling with Marissa isn’t about diagnoses or quick fixes. It’s about creating a space where you can take a breath, untangle your thoughts, and reconnect with yourself. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear “reason”, just curiosity and the courage to show up as you are.

Clients often say they feel safe, seen, and able to let their guard down. Whether you’re facing anxiety, burnout, low self-worth, grief, identity questions, or just feeling stuck and unsure where to begin, you’ll be met with compassion and care, no pressure, no pretence.

Marissa has experience supporting people from all walks of life, including those exploring neurodivergence, processing trauma, or adjusting to big life changes. She is also passionate about creating space for men’s mental health, especially for those who’ve been taught to keep it all in or carry on silently. Therapy doesn’t have to be intense or awkward, it can be a relief.

Alongside one-to-one counselling, Marissa also runs down-to-earth workshops and courses on topics like understanding trauma, managing stress, building listening skills, and stepping into the world of counselling. These sessions are practical, inclusive, and rooted in real life.

Outside the therapy room, Marissa is a big fan of tea, creativity, messy and honest conversations. If any of this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, she offers a free 15-minute call so you can get a feel for how she works, no obligation, just a friendly starting point.
