About Louise

Louise is an integrative humanistic creative counsellor. Drawing on a variety of therapeutic approaches and creative insight, Louise works collaboratively with clients to build resilience, develop coping strategies, and foster lasting emotional wellbeing. She believes in the power of a trusting therapeutic relationship to support deep personal growth, working compassionately to inform clients' understanding of the human self, focusing on individual qualities and needs.

Louise is dedicated to helping clients find hope, clarity, and strength on their journey toward a more fulfilling life.

Louise’s unique background in registered childcare, early years children’s development and progressing through different educational settings, is accomplished in supporting a varied range of diverse needs and areas including: the attachment-focused approach, adverse childhood experience and early trauma, significant trauma, bereaved families, neurotypical behaviour, and violent tendencies, supporting families and young persons during a process of diagnosis and further support. She has experience managing differing behavioural barriers to learning; she supports and recognises a diverse and inclusive education for all when working directly with targeted groups and vulnerable young people.

Louise also works in schools supporting young persons and young carers aged 11-18. She has excellent knowledge of SEND, safeguarding child protection issues and the prevent duty. She is a trained Emotional Literacy Support Assistant.

Therapies offered

Louise supports a varied range of diverse needs and works in areas including: anxiety, low self-esteem, shame, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma, bereavement and loss, neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD), an attachment focussed approach to exploration of self.

  • 1-1 therapy for individuals of all ages, including children

  • Short term solution-focussed therapy for adults

  • Walk and talk therapy sessions in nature

  • Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) informed and ‘PACE’ (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy) informed, working with the Therapeutic Parenting model​

  • Parental alienation-informed approach with an understanding of the family courts system, divorcing, separation, and co-parenting in a positive way that puts the child at the centre of the process and accepts the role of both parents and the wider family

  • Louise prides herself on an excellent understanding of global mental health; this she uses to support diverse needs with awareness of cultural, ethnic, and religious aspects in connection to the client’s context and family unit

  • Louise is multi relationship aware and recognises individuals with different partnering and relationship approaches. She supports individuals in exploration of their awareness and self-growth when in a multi-faceted family or relationship unit.

  • Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

  • Counselling Skills and Counselling for Young People certificates

  • Early years learning support assistant certificate (SEND) - NVQ4

  • Early years and childcare qualifications certificate to practice - NVQ3
